I read on Amazon the other day, one of Sony KDL46BX420 Customer sharing his experience in using this LCD.

This is the first Sony TV that I’ve owned, and I’m extremely impressed. Set-up was a snap, and I don’t think I had to make any significant changes to the default settings to get the picture I wanted (I think I may have tweaked a setting or two maybe 2 or 3 notches, but that’s it. Both of my previous HDTV’s (both 720p) had at-best decent sound. This Sony actually has very good sound, which surprised me considering how light the thing is.

My primary use for this TV would be gaming through a PS3, watching BD/DVD movies and streaming Netflix. I only have a PS3 (no other game systems at the moment, and I don’t ever plan to have cable or satellite) so the “lack of” HDMI ports that some people complain about isn’t an issue for me at all, though if you have multiple devices, I can understand how you’d feel about this!

Here are some of my observations/opinions:

*Final Fantasy XIII looks amazing in 1080p! The game really shows off what this TV (and the PS3) are capable of.
*My Battlestar Galactica BD’s, which tends to have pretty dark pictures look great! The black-levels are very sharp, especially for a LCD screen!
*I find that many TV’s have menus that are annoying to navigate. This one has a very friendly menu system.
*Some people complain that the remote buttons don’t glow. I don’t see this as a problem… The paint used to label the buttons is very reflective, and I have little or no problem reading them in low-light settings.

Ultimately, if you don’t have a lot of space, and want a nice HDTV as a main TV, or one for your gaming systems, I highly recommend this one!

 

That’s about all I can think of right now. I’d highly recommned this SONY KDL46BX420. Lots of advanced features for a reasonable price.
